All members are responsible for reading the rules.

:star: Information About Joining :star:

:bulletwhite:Can I join?
Are you a human being…if not you are still welcome? Are you capable of reading and following our rules? Are you a fan of anime and or manga? The answer should be yes to all of those questions.

:bulletyellow:How do I join?
On the front page there will be a button that says "Join this Group" click it. You can advertise us (if you want to…not mandatory) in your journal or signature.

:bulletpink:How do I advertise?
Journal--- :icon digital-manga-artists:
Signature--- :dev digital-manga-artists:
But without the spaces.

:bulletblue:Do I have to watch the group?
No, you don’t need to watch us, but if you want to see other people’s artwork then you can too. If the submission amounts clutter your inbox too much, feel free to not watch us for deviations.

:bulletwhite:What do I need to say in my join request?
Yeah, there's a blank space there, but you don’t need to say anything. You can use that to ask important questions, but DMA isn't exclusive.

:bulletyellow:Can I become a member through note?
No. That doesn't work anymore.

:bulletpink:I watched the group, but I'm not on the member list, why?
You have to request to join to become a member.

:bulletblue:I sent a request a while ago, and it expired. What gives?
Other stuff…… Any staff in charge of admitting members is busy. It's easier now, I've got it on the longest amount of time possible, but it may still expire. Just request again.

:bulletwhite:While I wait, can I submit stuff?
No. Only members may submit content. You have to wait. I'm sorry.

:star: Information About Affiliating :star:

:bulletyellow:Can I affiliate?
Of course you can. We love affiliates!

:bulletpink:How can I affiliate?
Well, the process is different depending on if you are a group or a club. Groups have the # next to their name and are run on the group’s platform. Clubs have the ~ * = next to their name and are run on a regular deviant platform. These days, you are most likely a group.

:bulletblue:How can I affiliate a club?
Send Kuriiko a note with your Club name in it with "Affiliate" in the title. Also, please say that it's an affiliate for DMA.

:bulletwhite:Where will you put us?
There is the group’s affiliate button and the custom boxes, but also in the blogs that is …if you have something important.

:bulletyellow:How can I affiliate a group?
Go to the front page of your group, click the affiliate button and then type in "Digital-Manga-Artist" in field that appears.

:bulletpink:Anything specific you want me to say?
Not really, but you could tell me about your group.

:bulletblue:What will this affiliation system do for my group's members?
Members of an affiliate, but not of DMA, will be able to submit (but not that frequently)…

:star: Information about Submitting :star:

:bulletwhite:How Do I Submit?
Go to the front page, click "contribute to the gallery" choose a folder from the drop down and select your deviation
OR
Go to a folder and click "Contribute to this folder" and pick your deviation.
OR
Go to your deviation, click "Submit to a group", enter in "Digital-Manga-Artist", pick the correct folder and submit.

Please pick the correct folder before submitting….

:bulletyellow:How many pictures can I Submit at a time?
Because this group is new and small you may send a max of five pictures per week.

:bulletpink:Is there a quality regulation?
Digital- Manga-Artist does not decline art based on skill level, but effort. But if you draw a doodle with no effort and it is not your best quality work during that time….then we probably won’t accept it.

For example: a five second drawing. (Not Acceptable)

Another example: a beautiful, quality done picture. (Acceptable)

:bulletblue:Can I submit to Featured?
No. Featured is for the deviants that placed their artwork in contest and won the different places….

:bulletwhite:Can I submit Fanart?
Yes.

:bulletyellow:Can I submit Fan Characters?
Yes.

:bulletpink:Can I submit Original Characters?
Yes.

:bulletblue:Can I submit bases to Pixels or(anything)?
Yes and No. No, for bases which have been (badly) traced from original drawings. If you do this then your submission privileges will be taken away for two whole weeks. But if it is not traced then we will gladly take your submissions.

:bulletwhite:Can I submit art that is not my own or traced from another picture?
No, this is not ok. It is against dA policy to post Art that is not yours.

FAQ #8:FAQ #8: What are violations of the DeviantArt copyright policy?

We will deny submissions made by you for pictures made by other deviants.

If you are caught stealing, you will be kicked out.

Plus, if you are caught tracing and submitted the traced picture to this group it will be removed. If you are caught again, you will be banned from the group.

Traced pictures include vectors, if the vector is not made 100% by you and you traced it then it will be removed from this group's gallery.

:bulletyellow:Can I Submit Mature Content?
Yes, but it must contain a mature tag. If it does contain one then the picture will not be submitted to this group.

Mature Content Pics that need to have a mature tag:

-boobs
-little to no clothing
-anything that is coming close to hentai
-has loads of blood or gore(i.e. someone getting cut open or losing body parts)

Remember that all submissions need to follow dA's guidelines. So no porn.

:bulletpink:What is Mature Content?
Please no nudity or excessive blood….Please keep it to PG-13 level…..

:bulletblue:Can I submit Gay/Lesbian art?
Yes, you may, but as long as it is not excessively sexual or explicit….

:bulletwhite:Can I submit Cosplay?
Yes, but it has to be related to any anime character or a character from an anime-styled video game.

:bulletyellow:Can I submit digital/traditional art?
Yes.

:bulletpink:Can I submit older art?
Yes.

:bulletblue:Can I submit something that's in another group?
Yes.

:bulletwhite:If it's the fanart of a game, not an anime, but anime style, can I submit it?
Yes.

:bulletyellow:I submitted something, but it hasn't been posted!
Wait….please….Me and any of the staff do have lives (please don’t get offended)

:bulletpink:Can I submit a collab?
Yes, you can, but please credit the other deviant.

:bulletblue: Does it have to be anime/manga style?
Yeah, because this is digital-manga-artists. The definition is loose, and again, will depend largely on the staff that looks at your request. We accept both digital and traditional artwork…..even if our name says “digital”, but it also says “manga” (traditional media)

:bulletwhite:Can members of affiliate groups submit?
No.

:star: Information about Staff :star:

:bulletyellow:Who are those people on the front page/ what do they do?
Go to the About Us Section.

:bulletpink:Who're the "Contest Commissioners"?
We don’t have contest commissioners yet, but you can always apply to be one…..

:bulletblue:How do I become a "Contest Commissioner"?
Send a note to Kuriiko with what you'd be willing to donate for prizes (art/subscription/feature)

:bulletwhite:How can I become a Staff Member?
Right now I am not looking for any staff.

:star: Contest Information :star:

:bulletyellow: I have a Contest Idea, who do I talk to?
Kometto

:star: Misc. Information :star:

:bulletpink:Can you advertise my Contest/Project?
Yes! But “ShoutOut” is open.

:bulletblue:What is ShoutOut?
ShoutOut is going to be the place where you tell the other members of the group that you have open commissions, art trades, collabs, or group contests.

:bulletwhite:Can you view my gallery and give me feedback?
I’m sure I do have time and I will do it when I can, but I'm sure that the more pictures you post the more feedback you'll get from our members.

:bulletyellow:Can I leave?
Of course you can, but we're sad to see you go. If the deviations overload you, you can stop watching DMA for that. Like I said above, journals are all you need to watch, and you can still participate in the club. But if you really want to go, go ahead.

:bulletpink:How can I leave?
Go to the front page of the group, and where it says "Members" next to your icon in miniature and your name. You can click that and there will be a menu. Hit "Leave this Group."
You may want to make sure that you've removed us from your watch, as you will still receive messages from us.

:bulletblue:How can I stop getting deviations, but still be a member?
Two ways to do that:
Go to your deviations and find one submitted by DMA (should not be hard to do), then you click on the arrow next to the upper-right hand corner and select "Unwatch Digital-Manga-Artist"
Or you go to your friends list, find Digital-Manga-Artist and uncheck the deviation box.

:bulletwhite:Can I mass-forward notes to you?
No. This is spam. We don't care about Alfred Hundana. He's permanently banned. Get
over it already….any other spam-like things will be “reported as spam”…
We will give you a warning on the first time, but the second you will get kicked out.

:bulletyellow:I have an issue with a club rule, because it seems silly, can I talk to you about it?
If you have any complaints or suggestions on how the group can be run better send us a note and we will try to reply as soon as we can.

If you did not read these rules you will be held accountable for any misdemeanor. If you sent too many of the same submissions; the submission will be denied. Submissions in the wrong folder will most likely be denied....(so please put it in the right folder the first time)

Please, If You Have Any Other Questions
Do Not Hesitate to Ask!

I know we have a lot of rules, but I try to cover all the bases.

p.s. Please follow all dA guidelines.

I has a question~ Would I be able to submit a referenced drawing? It wouldn't be traced but it was based on a reference picture.
